2012 Farmer City History Book Project

2012 Quartoseptcentennial Book

The Farmer City Genealogical & Historical Society, in conjunction with the 175th birthday of Farmer City, announced the publishing of a history book.  The purpose of the book is not to repeat, but continue the work started in the 1987 book.  The book is of excellent quality, beautiful and hardbound, similar in form to the 1987 book.

This book contains material about Farmer City, the history of our town and other general interest history not already included in the earlier volume. It includes Farmer City family histories, military histories, and histories of organizations and businesses that we are able to obtain from present and past Farmer City residents.

All the proceeds from the sale of the book go to the Farmer City Genealogical & Historical Society. This is an all volunteer endeavor. Members of the committee creating the book were Teri Kelley, Malinda Snow, Susan and Patrick Ryan.
